We’re using Run Your Pool’s platform, and once you sign up, we’ll send each entry a link to our private pool when the NHL playoff matchups are finalized. You’ll have until the playoffs start to submit your picks.

Here's the game notes: 50% of the entry fee will go to charity, so you’re making a difference while having fun. The other 50% goes into a winners’ pot, split 65% for 1st, 25% for 2nd, and 10% for 3rd. Earn points as the playoffs unfold—10 points for each correct first-round pick, 25 for the second round, 50 for the third, and a massive 100 points if you nail the Stanley Cup winner.

Join the Hockey Players in Business (HPIB) New Jersey Chapter for an exciting NHL Playoff Watch Party! Get ready to cheer on your favorite teams with fellow hockey enthusiasts and business professionals. Hosted by Tim Tedesco (ttedesco@financialguide.com), this event will take place on Tuesday, April 22, 2025, from 7:00 PM to 9:30 PM at the Summit Elks Lodge No. 1246, located at 40 Maple St, Summit, NJ 07901.

Join us for the HPIB West Michigan Cup on April 23, 2025, at Eagles Ice Center! Hosted by Hugh Ingalls and HPIB West Michigan, this exciting event features a one-hour skate from 7:30 PM to 8:30 PM. Join us for our 6th Annual International HPIB Charity Hockey Tournament on April 25-27, 2025.

· This event is open to members and non-members of HPIB. Players of all levels and abilities are welcome.

· This tournament uses a skill level based scoring system to encourage teamwork.

· Held at Gilmour Ice Arena (2045 SOM Ctr Rd, Gates Mills, OH 44040)

· Limited to 120 skaters and 8 goalies (8 teams)

· 4 games will be played by each team (1 Friday, 2 Saturday, and 1 Sunday)

· Cost: $225 per player for members, $300 for non-members of HPIB,  $65 for Party-only attendees

$225 per player for members, $300 for non-members of HPIB (Includes: 4 games, jersey, welcome bag, HPIB tournament party, networking, food and drink)

• 4 game guarantee (20 minute periods, 3 minute warm-up, 2 referee system, game music and live stats)

• Scoring system – 1 point for an A player, 2 points for a B player and 3 points for a C player. 3 goal max per game for all players.

Teams:

• 8 teams (Final rosters will be assembled evenly based on skill level)
• 15 skaters and 1 goalie per team
• Registration, first come – first serve

Tournament Party:
All players in the tournament get to attend the tournament party free of charge. The party will be held at on Saturday, April 26th at Landerhaven (6111 Landerhaven Dr, Mayfield Heights, OH 44124), with an open bar, dinner, auction items, raffle items, etc. Attire for the event is casual. This is always an awesome time, great for networking and building connections.

$65 for Non-player event attendees. Attend the networking event, cost includes food, drink, networking and entertainment.  Open to members and guests.

Sign your team up now for the 16th annual Hockey Beats Down Cancer Tournament presented by the OhioHealth Chiller Ice Rinks

Dates: Friday, August 22nd to Sunday, August 24th, 2025

The 2024 Hockey Beats Down Cancer tournament was a success, raising over $22,000 for cancer research through the Ohio Health Cancer Care Fund. In fact, we’ve raised more than $75,000 in the past three years! However, as some of you may have noticed, we did encounter some issues with team registrations that have caused us to take a different approach going into 2025.

This year you will register as a team instead of as individuals. Once your team representative has signed up through the Hockey Players in Business event page, we will reach out to capture your team name. The team deposit will be $500. The total team fee will be $2000. If your team has 13 rostered players, that comes out to around $150 per player, aligned with the 2024 individual dues. Collecting fees as a team during registration allows us to better administer the tournament.

If you are an individual and are interested in playing but do not have a team, we have set up a Google Form to capture your interest. We will use this list to either fill roster gaps on registered teams, or possibly look to create a team from the individual interest list. Timeline for the 2025 Tournament:
– May 1, 2025: All team registration deposits are due.
– July 1, 2025: All team registration fees are due. At this time we will need captains to submit their final roster with USA Hockey IDs, contact information, and skill level designation. We will provide the template.

Captains, please note there are two tickets available. Your team will need to have purchased a deposit ticket ($500) AND a team balance ticket ($1500) to be considered fully paid.

Once your team deposit has been processed, we will reach out to get your team name.
