The 4th Annual International HPIB Charity Hockey Tournament, held from April 14-16, 2023, proved to be an unforgettable experience brimming with excitement and camaraderie. Open to members and non-members alike, the tournament catered to players of all skill levels and was held at the Gilmour Ice Arena in Gates Mills, Ohio. This year’s tourney was a huge success, being sold out by January (3 months in advance of the event)! The tournament boasted a skill-level based scoring system designed to foster team spirit. With a cap of 104 skaters and 8 goalies, we saw 8 teams face off in a series of four games each – one on Friday, two on Saturday, and one final game on Sunday.

The weekend was filled with exhilarating games, each team playing with grit and sportsmanship. Registration was first come – first serve, and each team was evenly assembled based on skill levels, consisting of 13 skaters and 1 goalie. The winning team was awarded custom Bauer Hockey Sticks as a token of their victory. Participants were accommodated at the Hilton Garden Inn Hotel, conveniently located a short 5-10 minute drive from the rink.
