Cleveland, OH — September 30, 2024— Hockey Players in Business (HPIB), the world’s toughest and fastest-growing business network designed exclusively for current and former hockey players, is thrilled to announce the appointment of current Director of Chapters and Member Engagement & Columbus, OH Chapter President Kevin Henry as its new Executive Director. Kevin will be taking a large role in operational leadership to help drive the organization’s growth and increase its charitable contributions to the sport of hockey.

Founder and President Rob MacKinlay, who will remain actively involved in his current role, expressed his confidence in Kevin’s capabilities. “Kevin brings a wealth of experience and a proven track record in leadership within both the business and hockey communities,” said MacKinlay. “I am confident that with Kevin’s remarkable talents, HPIB will reach new heights in membership growth and significantly enhance our impact on the hockey community nationwide.”

Under the strategic guidance of Kevin Henry, HPIB aims to expand its membership and establish new chapters across the country, driving the number of annual events beyond the current 50+ to further engage members. This expansion is crucial as HPIB seeks to increase its annual donations from over $100,000 to more than $250,000, dedicated to supporting hockey-related causes.

Kevin Henry shared his enthusiasm about his new role, stating, “I am honored to join the Hockey Players in Business team officially in this new role and to continue to contribute to a sport that teaches the values of teamwork, dedication, and resilience. My goal is to extend our reach and deepen our impact, ensuring that more former and current players can connect, share, and give back to the game that has given us all so much.”
