This is always an awesome time, great for networking and building connections.

Charity Bonus:
We would like as many members as possible from around the US and Canada to participate in the tournament. Therefore, whatever chapter has the most tournament participants (besides the Cleveland chapter since the event is held in Cleveland) will be able to donate $5,000 to hockey related charity or charities of their choice. A weekend of hockey and camaraderie is the ideal way to build long-lasting relationships. Please consider playing in the tournament (all skill levels are welcome, as we have a weighted scoring system that encourages teamwork). Please promote the tournament in your chapter and in your hockey network.
ASHA Scrimmage:
We will be selecting players from each team to participate in a scrimmage on Saturday, during the break in tournament action, vs. the Cleveland Rockin Wildcats a team of mentally disabled / challenged kids and adults. The Rockin Wildcats are a part of ASHA, which is the beneficiary of the tournament.

“The HPIB Tournament is always a highlight of my year from both a social and professional standpoint. I’ve met great people from around the country and even gained new customers.”
– Peter Myeroff (Chicago)
“The HPIB tournament was a phenomenal event for all skill levels of player interested in building relationships with others in similar industries. It is one of the only adult hockey tournaments where fun, camaraderie and charity really trump competitiveness and all of the participants and playing for a similar cause, raising significant money for an amazing cause.”
– Tyler Kirsch (Columbus)
“Great to meet new people that you already have an immediate bond with, hockey. Additionally, you make connections with likeminded people that you can potentially do business with.”
– Pete Calleri (Cleveland)
“HPIB is an organization I’ve had the honor to work with over the last 3 years. It’s an organization I know I’ll support for the next 30.”
– Chris Clyne (Indianapolis)
“My first time at the tournament and it will be an annual event for me. It was an amazing weekend.”
– William Schramm (Cleveland)
“HPIB is truly a selfless organization. I love the mission, and I am humbled to be part of it.”
– Sam Johnson (Pittsburgh)
“The annual HPIB charity tournament held by the Cleveland chapter is the marquee event of the year, and a national gathering open to all members from across the country to attend. I have played in many other adult hockey league tournaments and those tournaments do not come close to the level of hockey being played nor the social environment. I leave every year having met new people that are added to my network.”
– Kevin Henry (Columbus)
“The tournament is always a fun weekend.”
– Kelly Doberrer (Detroit)
“Well organized tourney. Great people, fun competition and good cross section of ability levels. Everyone is there to enjoy themselves on and off the ice and have a good time. And best part is it raises money for an awesome cause.”
– Jeff Embree (New York)
“The HPIB Tournament never fails to inspire us. It’s a wonderful event that not only showcases great hockey but also brings together the best souls we know to support an incredible cause and have a great time.”
– Samantha Johns (Detroit)
“This was a very well-organized event! I appreciate that all the participants were friendly and welcoming to players of all skill levels and that there were no attitudes and chippy play on the ice, just a bunch of great people playing the game we love while raising money for a great cause!”
– Jeff Brown (Raleigh)
“This was my first time attending the HPIB tournament and I had no idea what to expect. I had an absolute blast and met a ton of great new friends and business contacts. I will 100% be back next year.”
– Chuck Dodge (Indianapolis)
“The HPIB charity tournament is well organized and is one of the best charity tournaments I have played in. Seeing the smiles on the ASHA team when we are playing and getting to know some of them before and after the game is what it’s all about and by far the most rewarding aspect of the game. Getting to make some friends with HPIB members around the country is a bonus. This tournament is always a blast and for a great cause.”
– Tyler Rose (Pittsburgh)
“It is one of the best tournaments I go to and it’s awesome to see everyone from all over!”
– Betsy Oliver (Cleveland)
“The annual HPIB tournament is THE event of the year for me. The communication of what to expect, hospitality of when you arrive, energy of the ASHA game and the Saturday night festivities are all well organized and executed. Last but not least, the quality of people who attend this event is top notch. The games are respectful, and the community is real.”
– Cameron Poupard (Columbus)
“The annual HPIB tournament to raise money for ASHA is an absolutely incredible event. There are a ton of ways to describe the energy among the ASHA players but the only way to truly experience what it does is to be there and see the smiles on their faces. It’s absolutely fantastic to see how happy the players are to be involved and how grateful they are for the support from HPIB.”
– Charles Maxwell (Rochester)
“This was my 2nd year attending the HPIB charitable tournament. As my relationships with people have grown, my enjoyment of the event just gets better each year by 10 fold. As much as we all give to HPIB to be a part of this financially, sacrificing time with family, etc. We received 100 fold back. This is food for my soul. Grateful to all the HPIB Leadership – we appreciate your leadership and service.”
– Peter de Jong (Chicago)
