Join HPIB Toledo members and guests on Wednesday, March 13th at Metroparks Toledo’s Brookwood Center to hear from guest speaker Matt Cleland. Matt is Deputy Director/Treasurer of Metroparks Toledo and is a former archery national champion, a member of the United States Archery Team from 1996 through 2003. The event will include a wine sampling, beers will be provided. Spouses are welcome as the event is to support Metroparks Toledo. Tickets are $15 for members and $25 for guests.

Guest Speaker Bio:
Matt Cleland was born and raised in a family business; Cleland’s Gun Shop. At the age of 14 he knew that he would attend the University of Toledo, get an accounting degree and run the family business. Along the way through competing in Archery, Matt became a national champion, a world record holder and a member of the United States Archery Team from 1996 through 2003. To escape retail hours, in 2003, Matt left the family business and became the assistant director of payroll at Toledo Public Schools. After some years and a few position changes he became the treasurer of the school district. In 2015 Metroparks Toledo recruited him to become deputy director and treasurer for the park district where he has returned to a career in an outdoors industry.
