HPIB West Michigan Charity Skate and Happy Hour – Event Recap
On April 18th, the inaugural HPIB Cup was awarded to BOTH teams after an epic comeback back from Team Dark Jersey, who were down 9-4 with under 8 minutes to go. White Jersey Goalie Ryan Eadie did get the MVP award after making key saves to fend off a complete comeback. Thank you to Eagles Ice Center for donating the ice, West Michigan Mortgage for donating the MVP award, and 4GR8Food for hosting the post-game Happy Hour allowing all proceeds to go to our charity partner the Grand Rapids Sled Wings/Rinks To Links!! HPIB MI Virtual Golf Happy Hour At The Leaderboard Grand Rapids – Event Recap
What an incredible evening we had at the Virtual Golf Happy Hour hosted by the HPIB West Michigan chapter on February 16th! Held at The Leaderboard Indoor Golf in Grand Rapids, this event was a smashing success, bringing together members and guests for an evening of virtual golfing fun and networking. With state-of-the-art golf simulators at our disposal, participants enjoyed trying their hand at golf, regardless of their skill level, while indulging in some fantastic happy hour drink specials. The atmosphere was buzzing with excitement and camaraderie as attendees swung, sipped, and socialized. The event, generously sponsored by Provision Insurance Group and MOXIE Real Estate + Development, was not just about having a good time; all proceeds were directed towards supporting the Grand Rapids Sled Wings, showcasing the spirit of giving back to the community. We’re posting several photos from the event to give you a glimpse of the fun had by all. From seasoned golfers showing off their skills to beginners taking their first swing, the smiles and laughter were abundant. A big thank you to everyone who came out to support this fantastic cause, and a special shoutout to our sponsors for making this event possible. HPIB Newsletter – Q2 : Summer 2023
The 4th Annual International HPIB Charity Hockey Tournament, held from April 14-16, 2023, proved to be an unforgettable experience brimming with excitement and camaraderie. Open to members and non-members alike, the tournament catered to players of all skill levels and was held at the Gilmour Ice Arena in Gates Mills, Ohio. This year’s tourney was a huge success, being sold out by January (3 months in advance of the event)! The tournament boasted a skill-level based scoring system designed to foster team spirit. With a cap of 104 skaters and 8 goalies, we saw 8 teams face off in a series of four games each – one on Friday, two on Saturday, and one final game on Sunday.

Hey Hockey Players in Business! The 2023 HPIB Charity Hockey Tournament is this coming weekend, April 14-16, 2023. Not playing, not a big deal, you can still get in the game by participating in our charity auction & jersey raffle to support the American Special Hockey Association (ASHA).
